A Kenyan importer sourcing agricultural implements or irrigation equipment from TURKIYE should begin with working conditions and the supply of service parts. Intended crop, farm size, pump capacity, machine compatibility and destination logistics shape the purchasing decision.
Match the equipment to field conditions
For sprayers and pumps, request tank size, operating pressure, filtration, nozzle specification and spare sealing components. For tractor implements, confirm power requirements, mounting geometry, working width, transport dimensions and the wear parts included.
A clear bill of materials also helps the buyer identify which accessories and service parts are needed at the same time as the machine. If field conditions are demanding, request relevant operating and maintenance details instead of relying on catalogue photographs.
Check Kenya Bureau of Standards requirements
The Kenya Bureau of Standards publishes information on conformity assessment and import inspections, including changes affecting its Pre-Export Verification of Conformity arrangements. Applicable procedures may change, and not every product follows the same route.
Before dispatch, consult the latest KEBS notices and ask the Kenyan importer to confirm the relevant Kenya Standard, required test evidence and clearance steps. Avoid treating an older PVoC contract or a certificate for another model as automatically valid.
Evaluate life-cycle cost
Obtain comparable quotations for the same specification, shipping configuration and quantities. Include operator instructions, essential spare parts, warranty procedures and expected replacement lead times.
Consider a small initial consignment or inspection of the actual ordered specification. This can reveal connection, service or packaging issues while changes are still inexpensive.
